Your private driver will meet you at Livorno Port in a comfortable vehicle. You will reach Pisa in about 45 minutes. Your driver will drop you off in Pisa for free time on your own, to explore and do as you wish.
Pisa is a city in Italy's Tuscany region, and is best known for its iconic Leaning Tower. Already tilting when completed in 1372, the 56 meter high white marble cylinder is the bell tower of the Romanesque striped marble cathedral that rises next to it in the Piazza dei Miracoli.
The Piazza dei Miracoli, formally known as Piazza del Duomo, is a walled 8.87-hectare area recognized as a World Heritage by UNESCO. This Piazza set over an ample green field hosts four whiter-than-white masterpieces of grandiose medieval art: the renowned Leaning Tower, the Camposanto, the Baptistry, and the Cathedral itself.
Once you have finished exploring Pisa, hop aboard your private ride through the Versilian coast to the seaside town of Viareggio. Famous for its beautiful beaches and its carnival, Viareggio is considered among the most elegant cities of the coast.
Here you will spend time on your own to explore the area. Maybe take a stroll around La Cittadella, a complex that houses the Carnival Museum. Stroll and admire the architecture of the bathing establishments along the famous Viale Margherita. See the chalet and cafes, including the Gran Caffe Margherita, a liberty style building that is a symbol of the city. Maybe taste the fragrant cuisine of Viareggio in one of the many restaurants on the seafront, or, if you'd like, take a stroll to the beach and relax while taking a dip in the warm Tyrrhenian Sea, with the spectacular backdrop of the Apuan Alps' white marble sparkling in the sun.
After your visit to the Viareggio, your private driver will take you back to the Livorno pier.
Please Note: Pisa is a popular destination and crowds can be expected at all sites, especially during the high season. Ongoing restoration work is often carried out at the various venues.

Bradford J. Miller
Mr. Miller is the former Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer for Abercrombie & Kent, the World's leading luxury travel company. In that role, Mr. Miller was responsible for contributing to Abercrombie & Kent's international growth through the development and acquisition of tour products and travel experiences around the world with a specific focus on cruising and land based experiences. Prior to joining Abercrombie & Kent, Mr. Miller held a variety of executive positions with Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises for more than a decade. These positions included Vice President of Guest Sales & Service, Vice President of Brand Development, and Vice President of Onboard Revenue (which included shore excursions). Mr. Miller also led Celebrity Expeditions, a collection of outstanding and unique tours around the World.
Michael Bonner
Mr. Bonner has over a decade of experience working in the cruise industry in a variety of roles for both Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. and Viking River Cruises. Most recently, Mr. Bonner was the Chief Operating Officer for The Scholar Ship, a Royal Caribbean program aimed at providing college students onboard educational programs in conjunction with enriching shore excursions around the world. Mr. Bonner also helped co-manage Viking River Cruises U.S. Operations, and he ran the corporate, strategic, and deployment planning functions at Royal Caribbean. While at Royal Caribbean, Mr. Bonner was responsible for forming Royal Celebrity Tours, Royal Caribbean's land-based tour operation in Alaska, which takes cruise passengers on multiple day tours through the interior of Alaska either before or after their cruises. Prior to working at Royal Caribbean, Mr. Bonner was a consultant for Booz Allen & Hamilton.
